Production Operator - Packing - 24 / 4

When working as a Production Operator within IPN you will be fully trained to carry out and assist with the setting up of the machine for the product it is going to produce. Once the machine is set up and running the role turns to ensuring the machine is continuously stocked with the correct packaging, supervise the machine, react to any issues that may arise during production and escalate to the Team Leader working within your area. You will also be trained to carry out quality checks at hourly intervals throughout the day and ensure our clean and go policy is adhered to.,

• Operating machines throughout your shift, all training will be provided!
• Follow production guidelines and ensure our products are packed correctly
• Ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the packing process, in compliance with relevant Food Safety legislation.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure that hourly production checks are carried out, and when any issues arise - that they are reported immediately to the Team Leader.
• Monitor the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, and where there is an issue escalate through the Team Leader.
• Be capable of manual handling tasks, including regularly lifting materials weighing up to 25kg.
• Following the 'Clean As You Go' policy at all times, to ensure that the machine is operating to the highest standards of hygiene.
• Promote a people safe culture within the department, complying with policies and procedures, reporting any safety observations and plant damage through the appropriate channels.
• Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.
  
  Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing
• A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
• To be considered for this position it is a requirement you live in a 30 mile radius of our location which is YO7 3HE and have your own transport.
• This is a physically demanding role, you must be able to lift up to 25kg and be able to work on your feet for long periods.
• Food Hygiene Accreditation - desirable.

  £13.18 per hour (including shift allowance) - £32,897 annual salary
• 48 hours per week - Monday - Thursday (rotational days and nights shift)
• Days and Nights between 5.30am / 17.30pm
