Full Job Description

To achieve efficient production plans in line with established KPIs, ensuring production is made in correct rotation and that we supply our customers on-time and in full.,

  • Create a daily plan to achieve 100% service level to the customer.
  • Ensure all tasks from the Core Activities Tracker are completed by the given deadlines, and escalate any issues immediately.
  • Amend plans to account for production challenges, maintaining excellent communication with departments.
  • Adjust plans in response to shortages of raw materials and packaging.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to plan machine servicing and downtime.
  • Monitor and set stock levels, using good rotation stock practices to minimize stock loss and waste.
  • Generate production requirements efficiently, utilizing available resources to maximize manufacturing uptime.
  • Liaise with Area Managers to ensure resources are available for production plans.
  • Maintain awareness of new products, specification changes, promotions, and de-lists to ensure plans are 100% accurate.
  • Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by the line manager., Undertake all relevant operational, technical, health & safety, environment, and development training required by company policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist the supervision and management with the safe introduction and development of new colleagues to your area.

  • Involvement in the Risk Assessment process to reduce risk.
  • Reporting any damaged or faulty equipment to the management team.
  • Reporting any unsafe activities.
  • Reporting accidents and near misses by following the correct procedure.
  • Wearing the correct PPE.

    Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office applications and site Inventory Management systems.
  • Experience in a Planning or Scheduling role, preferably in the food industry., Works independently and uses initiative.
  • Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and health and safety principles.
  • Creative and flexible in overcoming operational issues.
  • Strong communication skills, able to understand and follow instructions.
  • Collaborative, able to influence other departments within the site and wider Cranswick.
  • Demonstrates site behaviours and values.
  • Excellent attention to detail and tenacity to get things right.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

    You will be working in a food manufacturing area and are required by law to produce a safe and legal product. Cranswick has entered into contracts with its customers, and you are required to ensure the agreed quality expectations of the customer are matched or exceeded. To meet these requirements, you must follow all company policies and procedures to the letter and follow any reasonable instructions given.
