Production Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery.
Supply Chain Management: Adjust schedules in response to disruptions and manage order priorities based on production capacity.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement to address shortages or overstock.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with procurement, engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to align production plans with design changes and compliance requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure production plans comply with ISO 13485 and other applicable medical device regulations.
Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks or risks in production and develop proactive solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitor OEE, downtime, order fulfilment rates, and implement lean manufacturing practices to improve workflows.
Forecasting & Reporting: Provide regular updates on production status to senior management, supporting data-driven insights for strategic planning.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner to manage and optimize production schedules for our high-quality disinfectant and sterilisation liquids. This role ensures timely delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with customer demands, contributing to improved patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, cross-department collaboration, and continuous process improvement in regulated industries., Production Planning Principles: Familiarity with MRP, JIT, and lean manufacturing principles.
Regulatory Standards: Knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, GMP) and compliance requirements.
Supply Chain Management: Understanding of inventory control, FIFO/LIFO techniques, and supplier management processes.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience with liquid handling, cleanroom protocols, and shelf-life management of consumables.
Key Skills:
Planning & Organisation: Ability to create and adjust production schedules, balancing efficiency with flexibility.
Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities to identify production trends and improvement opportunities.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Business Dynamics) and Excel for advanced scheduling and reporting.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in scheduling, inventory management, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
Key Experience:
Relevant Industry Experience: Previous experience in production planning within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries.
ERP/MRP Systems Usage: Hands-on experience managing production schedules with ERP or MRP tools.
Regulatory Environment: Proven experience in regulated environments with stringent compliance standards (e.g., FDA audits, ISO certifications).
Process Improvement: A track record of contributing to operational efficiency improvements.
