Production Supervisor

We are a small, independent honey manufacturing company based in Trafford Park, looking for a full-time Production Supervisor to work alongside our current Production Supervisor and Operations Assistants

- We mix high quality honey with vitamins and natural extracts to produce multiple SKU's of our functional, 'supercharged' honey

- The role is contracted to 30 hours per week/4 days per week, expected to increase to 5 days per week through our seasonal peak period (overtime when required)

- The role is 9am-5pm Monday- Friday, subject to business needs, Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor production processes to maintain quality control and meet production targets
- Train and mentor production staff to use Level 2 machinery in line with our machinery procedures
- Ensure minor maintenance work is carried out immediately

- Deal with minor issues yourself, and inform the Operations Manager of any major issues
- Implement and enforce HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety standards are met

- Learn to use Level 1 (Supervisor Only) machinery in line with our procedures

-Ensure raw materials are weighed out per the production spec, and added correctly

Previous experience in a food production environment is preferred, but not essential
- Knowledge of basic maths for inventory management and production calculations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
