Production Supervisor

Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead and mentor a multiskilled manufacturing team. This role is crucial in supporting production, implementing growth plans, improving efficiencies, and fostering a continuous improvement focus within our organisation. Whilst a Supervisory position, you may need to also be hands on from time to time to assist, train and develop your team.

Responsibilities as Production Supervisor

• Mentor, manage, and build a multiskilled manufacturing team
• Support production and implement growth plans to improve capacity and reduce costs
• Create operation instructions for the shop floor to follow
• Provide front-line support for programming errors and machine errors, escalating to the maintenance team as required
• Improve tooling strategies and create programs for CNC machines
• Work closely with new product designs and strive for optimum efficiency and process improvements
• Manage and lead a team, leading by example and encouraging team development
• Utilise MRP/ERP systems and have experience in CNC programming languages

Qualifications as Production Supervisor

• Strong engineering background and qualification, ideally mechanical
• Experience in CAD, specifically Solidworks
• Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively manage and lead a team
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems
• Experience in CNC programming languages and 5-axis milling
• Understanding of workshop processes and manufacturing operations
