Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity fora GFD (Gas Filled Detectors) Production Supervisor to provide first level management of day-to-day activities and lead the team to deliver.

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GFD department and leading a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, meeting production targets and optimising processes to maximise efficiency.

To be considered for the role, you will have strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively and network with stakeholders at all levels. You will have well-grounded experience gained in a technical manufacturing environment, with a track record of achieving production targets and quality objectives. Understanding of manufacturing best practice and the ability to apply this to improve processes is essential. You will also have good manual dexterity and light engineering assembly skills and you will be able to read engineering drawings. You must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to solve problems on-the-go, work to agreed time scales and make decisions proactively.,

  • Manufacturing: 5 years (required)

    Working hours: 4 days per week (37.5 hrs), Monday to Thursday (Friday - regular day off)
