Full Job Description

Position: Production Technician (Trainee opportunities available) Location: Labman HQ, Seamer, North Yorkshire Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (based on experience) Job Opportunity Due to sustained growth, Labman are seeking to increase their Production team members with a mixture of experienced Production technicians and trainees. You will be working with the Robotics Engineers, assisting them in all stages of robotics engineering including installation, repair and maintenance of existing robots and systems. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn. Labman deliver bespoke robotics and software systems to major companies and public bodies all over the world. The job will be challenging and dynamic and full training will be given where necessary, providing you with opportunities to learn and develop your skillset. You will be working alongside a dedicated team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers at Labman's HQ in North Yorkshire, UK. It is a creative and innovative environment, full of the latest robotic systems and technology, as well as climbing walls, gym and even a squash court. What the Job Involves

  • Assembling mechanical and electrical systems for Labman's advanced robotic automation platforms - full training and guidance provided
  • Following strict build & testing procedures to ensure platforms are assembled to the highest quality
  • Contributing to continual improvement throughout Labman
  • Occasional customer interaction

    Highly confident with 'hands-on' work, hand tools, power tools etc.
  • Working to clear deadlines whilst respecting safety, quality, and good engineering practices
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office applications
  • High standard of housekeeping with a keen eye for detail and organisation
  • Dealing with & recording issues as they arise
  • Works well within a team with good communication skills
  • The successful candidate is expected to work within the Labman ISO9001 & ISO13485 quality framework, developing systems to a strict set of conventions.
  • Desirable skills / experience
  • Driving licence
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Driven to ensure efficiency and quality is upheld
  • Some automation industry experience
  • 'Hands-on' interests outside of work such as fixing cars, bikes or just general tinkering
