Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and innovative individual, with a passion for Apprenticeships, to join the Professional Development team in a full-time substantive post. In this role, you will manage the clinical student apprenticeship agenda, ensuring that all clinical apprenticeship students are supported and receive appropriate clinical placements in line with NMC and HCPC regulatory requirements. Working as part of the Integrated Care System, you will ensure that all apprenticeship students receive the experience, exposure and education they need to fulfill their programme requirements and qualify as our next generation of professionals.
You will support the recruitment and monitoring of clinical apprenticeship students in partnership with Higher Education Institutions, NHS England and the Integrated Care System. The manager will ensure that the clinical environment is appropriate for learning and that Practice Assessors, Practice Supervisors and Clinical Educators are appropriately supported, trained and regulated.
In addition, you will support with preparation to role work across the service, providing support with career events, interview preparation and application support where appropriate., You will:
· Manage the clinical student apprenticeship recruitment processes ensuring the recruitment of high calibre healthcare apprentice students, utilising and adhering to the appropriate internal and external processes and governance requirements.
· Work in partnership with the Higher Education Institutions to ensure the recruitment of the appropriate healthcare apprentice students.

· Manage the clinical apprenticeship placement capacity processes, ensuring the appropriate liaison with the Higher Education Institutions, Clinical Managers, Clinical Team Leaders, Practice Assessors, Practice Supervisors, Clinical Educators and Administrators.
· Manage the clinical apprenticeships placement allocation process, ensuring the appropriate liaison with the Higher Education Institutions, Clinical Managers, Clinical Team Leaders, Practice Assessors, Practice Supervisors, Clinical Educators and Educational Administrators.
· Provide support for clinical apprenticeship students, and Practice Assessors and Clinical Educators, on an individual or group basis to resolve difficulties with assessments and assist with individual action planning where necessary., · Please ensure you check your Trac account regularly as this is how we will communicate with you during the shortlisting and selection process

· Registered clinician
· Educated to Degree level or equivalent
· Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent experience
· Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Experience
Essential Criteria:
· Relevant experience of working with clinical apprenticeship students, Practice Assessors, and Clinical Educators across Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professions
· Relevant experience of clinical placement management
Skills & Knowledge
Essential Criteria:
· Relevant experience of working with Higher Education Institutions
· Relevant experience of managing and developing appropriate clinical student databases
Personal Qualities
Essential Criteria:
· Ability to handle sensitive and complex information
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
· High level of IT Literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to work autonomously
· High level of negotiating and influencing skills
