Professional Standards Investigator

Come and lead or assist in investigations relating to Police Officers and Staff which have arisen from complaints/intelligence., Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit a Professional Standards Investigator on a full-time permanent basis, located at Tigers Road, Leicester. In this role you will work to resolve situations which may potentially lead to criminal offences or disciplinary action., Undertake all aspects of investigations into police actions as required, ensuring compliance with legislation, identified guidelines and standards.
-Assist with the preparation and presentation of Criminal or misconduct proceedings in line with appropriate guidelines.
-Liaise with the IPCC, Crown Prosecution Service and other agencies regarding investigations and other relevant issues.

Ability to undertake complex criminal/internal investigations into issues of integrity and corruption including gathering and presenting information.
-Knowledge of Police and Criminal Evidence Act and Police Conduct Regulations.
-Experience in a role requiring the use of investigation skills in dispute/conflict resolution, crime-related or Human Resource areas.
-Experience in a role managing a high workload, prioritising work to meet deadlines while showing a flexible approach to changing demands.

Salary - £34,329 - £38,754
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
