Full Job Description

Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our Physical Security (PhySec) Implementation team as Program Manager. In this key role, you will own difficult projects and programs that manage end-to-end physical security across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Key job responsibilities

  • Drive tactical physical security systems, means, and equipment implementation projects and programs across EMEA
  • Manage external vendors by providing guidance during the project execution
  • Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders (e.g., design and construction, IT, start up, launch and expansion) and external vendors (e.g., general contractors, low voltage contractors, and consultants) to achieve your project/program goals
  • Ensure physical security and regulatory compliance of all programs being built
  • Ensure all programs are consistently improving on cost effectiveness
  • A day in the life As a Program Manager on the Physical Security Implementation team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the Security and Loss Prevention team with the implementation of physical security systems, means, and equipment on new site launches, retrofits, and expansions. This includes video surveillance systems, access control, and intrusion detection across all business units except for corporate offices and third-party sites. To achieve this goal, you will drive tactical risk-based, cost effective, and operationally acceptable projects and programs that enable the prevention, intervention, and investigation of security incidents, minimize losses, and mitigate risks within operational sites across EMEA. You will ensure that all of your projects and programs comply with physical security and regulatory standards. You will also be responsible for onboarding as well as managing external project managers and commissioning engineers to drive project deliverables. Upon completion and commissioning of new physical security systems, you will hand those systems over to Field Security and Loss Prevention to operate but where needed you will support their investigations of security and safety incidents. Finally, you will also identify and drive change within the business, pushing initiatives such as value engineering, updating of standards, automation of tasks, and Physical Security cross-team support. About the team Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. Sitting within Security and Loss Prevention, the Physical Security team does this by managing physical security maintenance activities and installing compliant security systems in most business units across EMEA. This is achieved by providing equipment and installation costs, sourcing external business partners to install security systems, ensuring installers follow agreed methodology and guidelines for system installation and commissioning, and reviewing ad-hoc installation requests across the network to ensure business agreed purpose is met. We deliver projects and initiatives to improve, standardize, and create end-user and sustainable security designs that comply with local legislation and Amazon standards. We also improve the current EMEA security infrastructure to optimize Security and Loss Prevention performance and support business initiatives. Finally, we strive for a consistent and scalable approach to continuously support the fast-changing business environment and mitigate risks to Amazon.
