Full Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting the administration of the Department's teaching programmes and responding to queries from staff and students. Key tasks include:

  • Providing effective administrative and advisory support to staff and students on the department's 12 Undergraduate and Master's programmes.
  • Acting as first point of contact for students and staff, providing accurate and timely information and advice, updating information annually and supporting the development of the taught programmes.
  • Taking the lead on increasing student engagement by working with the various departmental and school wide stakeholders in planning events and activities.
  • Candidates should have demonstrable experience of working in an academic or similar environment in an administrative capacity; be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing a consistently high-quality service to key stakeholders; have experience of participating in and making a positive contribution to a team; and of solving everyday problems and thinking creatively, including recognising when a problem should be referred to others.
