Full Job Description

The post holder will join the small and friendly Bowel Cancer Screening team working in a bright open plan office at the Quadram Institute, within the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital site. They will work closely with the Specialist Screening Practitioners and Programme Managers, as well as the wider Endoscopy team. The Bowel Cancer Screening Programme supports patients who have received an abnormal screening test result through the NHS national population screening programme. The patients are invited for a pre-assessment appointment with a specialist nurse and then, if suitable, go on to have a colonoscopy with an accredited bowel screening endoscopist.Main duties of the job You will be involved at every step of the pathway from referral to potential cancer diagnosis. You will act as the first point of contact for patients, clinical staff, and the regional screening hub. You will need a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel as they will be required to produce and analyse data for reports and audits. You may also be required to help support the provision of Endoscopy Training courses in liaison with the East of England Endoscopy Academy.
