Full Job Description

We're looking for a Programme Co-ordinator to work on the Discovery Houses programme on a 6-month fixed term basis. This is a transformation programme involving the most significant houses and collections in the National Trust's care. Working as a key member of the programme team, you'll support the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Board to ensure the smooth-running of the programme, its support systems, and processes. The National Trust is full of people who are passionate about nature, history and beauty. The Programme Officer is a national role within the Curation and Experiences Directorate. The National Trust is a matrix organisation, so you'll be able to draw on the skills and talents of other consultancy staff who are specialists in every field of our work. You'll work directly with 28 properties which are distributed across England, Northern Ireland, and Wales. As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We'll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week. What you'll be doing You'll be the glue that holds the programme team together. Providing high-quality, professional programme support service to the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Board. You'll be responsible for the organisation and administration of Programme Support and wider team meetings and minutes, providing a consistent point of contact for the programme both internally and externally. To support the delivery of the communications plan, you'll coordinate the monthly news bulletin, update intranet pages and develop case studies, ensuring that all files and folders are up to date. You'll be supporting the collation of reports for the programme board, helping to ensure that project teams are adhering to best practice, and providing ad hoc administrative support for projects within the programme.
