Full Job Description

Your essential role in coordinating of microbiology services, Hazard Analysis Critical Control point (HACCP) programme and environmental monitoring and will directly contribute to the saving and improving of patients lives.

We will provide you with an extensive induction and training programme and ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.

As part of the selection process, you will be invited to attend one of our Blood Centres, so that you can gain an understanding of the requirements of this essential role.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will be responsible for the business and administrative support and planning of activities of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) study programme across NHSBT. Your day to day responsibilities will include:-

  • Being responsible for co-ordinating and arranging the HACCP study programme and relevant meetings across NHSBT Directorates

  • Liaising with key managerial, quality assurance and operational staff nationally across NHSBT sites in relation to the HACCP programme and environmental monitoring of GMP processes.

  • To provide bespoke analytical support in relation to HACCP and environmental monitoring of GMP areas and other EM data collated by the Microbiology Services laboratory.
