Full Job Description

FCTG is actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned program professional to provide leadership for delivery and team performance across multiple countries within the Corporate pillar of Flight Centre.
As the business embarks on the next stage of its growth, we are looking at how we standardise and deploy new technologies, processes, and capabilities globally. This will then allow our global brands to harness the culture of our people to build products and services that our customers love and recommend to others.This role will be will oversee the execution of multiple, concurrent projects, reporting and support customer & change planning as needed, for both local and global projects & programs delivering these new capabilities.
Accountabilities
1. Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define program and project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.

  • 2.Program Management:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

  • Line management of regional projects and other project team resources, as needed

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects within the regions, ensuring they are completed within defined scope, timelines, and budget parameters.

  • Collaborate proactively with product, technology and wider business teams to identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as necessary.

  • Regularly monitor and report project progress to senior management and stakeholders.

  • 3. Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess potential risks and issues that may impact program delivery.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful program outcomes.

  • 4. Resource Allocation:
  • Work closely with resource managers to allocate and optimize resources based on program priorities and requirements.

  • Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to address changing circumstances.

  • 5. Leadership and PMO development:
  • Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the project teams.

  • Establish clear performance metrics and goals, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the growing global PMO function and best practices, including deploying and adhering to new standards and ways of working

    The successful applicant will have a deep project and program delivery background, strong analytical skills and lateral thinking, with a hands-on approach to solving challenges and maximising opportunities to do things better. With excellent senior stakeholder management skills and ability to work across time zones, the role will deliver incredible growth opportunities and experiences.

  • Requirements:
    Prior experience in a matrixed global role is mandatory.
    10+ years in transformational change managing programs and/ or projects contributing to strategic goals.
    Demonstrable, hands-on experience of:
    + Successful delivery of $500k -$5M+ projects and programs of work.
    + Project and Program ddelivery methodologies and best practices.
    + Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, including strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
    + Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
