Full Job Description

The Useable Guidance Programme is one of NICE's most important business change programmes in the next two years, spanning multiple directorates and working closely with the publishing, product, communications, digital and information technology teams and guidance producing centres. The programme's purpose is to deliver NICE's vision to provide a useable guidance product offering that makes it easier for practitioners, commissioners and providers to make decisions. They will be responsible for: 1. Overall delivery of the Useable Guidance programme on time and within budget, working alongside the Programme Director and Senior Responsible Officers within NICE. 2. Supporting Business Service Owners, Executive team sponsors and the Senior Responsible Officers to deliver new ways of working and operating models to achieve the programme outcomes. 3. Working with senior leaders in Continuous Quality Improvement and the Digital, Information & Technology directorate to ensure continuous quality improvement methods and digital tools are procured and used effectively in the programme to progress NICE's vision to provide a useable guidance product offering that makes it easier for practitioners, commissioners and providers to make decisions., The Programme Lead will take responsibility for the overall delivery of the Useable Guidance programme on time and within budget, working alongside the Programme Director and Senior Responsible Officers within NICE. The Usable Guidance programme is one of four strategic priorities for NICE and programme will report directly to the Director of Impact and Partnerships, through the Useable & Impactful Programme Board.

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge across large scale business change programmes underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience
  • Highly developed knowledge of techniques for planning and monitoring large scale change programmes
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Experience of co-ordinating and managing multiple complex business transformation programmes
  • Experience of programme management including sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Proven track record in taking a co-production approach to business change and new ways of working
