Full Job Description

Hampshire CAMHS is a large child and adolescent mental health service providing a range of mental health services to children and young people across Hampshire. These include a digital team, early help services, forensic, home treatment teams, learning disability and autism team, locality community CAMHS Teams, mental health support teams in schools, paediatric psychiatric liaison services, primary care services, partnership services, single point of access, and specialist eating disorder services. The Programme Manager will work with colleagues within Hampshire CAMHS, the Trust, and external stakeholders to deliver agreed projects that support improvements across the Service. This will include supporting the development of new service models, implementing new Services as required, and supporting the development of new systems and processes which enable safe, effective, patient centred care.,

  • Manage the delivery and mobilisation programme.
  • Manage transformation programmes which have been agreed by the Hampshire Leadership Team.
  • Manage any staff and resources where required for programme delivery.
  • Ensure that programme deliverables remain tightly linked to the achievement of the relevant elements of the NHS Long Term Plan, Local Transformation Plan, Trust Objectives, and Hampshire CAMHS strategic objectives alongside the commitments outlined in business case.
  • Monitor progress and mobilisation of the programme against agreed KPIs within or across areas.
  • Manage risks to ensure successful outcome and resolve any issues and initiate corrective action where required.
  • Drive the delivery and pace of the mobilisation of the programme.
  • Ensure effectivegovernance, quality assuranceand the overall integrity - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards.
  • Ensure training, guidance and support is in place to ensure the programme delivers the required changes.
  • Report the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the implementation group and Hampshire Leadership Team, as well as other key stakeholders and groups.
  • Ensure delivery and mobilisation of the programme is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent NHS Trust services is expected in late 2024, when our new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will be formed. Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
