Do you have the skills and experience to support the evaluation, development, and implementation of innovative ideas and inventions in healthcare?
Would you like to be instrumental in the development of surgical technologies and diagnostics emanating from the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Accelerated Surgical Care?
We are seeking an enthusiastic programme manager with leadership and team skills with excellent communication, strategic planning, coordination, and project management experience to support the successful delivery of the NIHR Leeds Healthtech Research Centre objectives. You will act as subject area expert in medical devices, digital technologies and diagnostics development. Advising academics and clinicians on the translational pathway, particularly on the regulatory and scientific strategic aspect of product development, but also with respect to the development of funding applications and project management, aligning objectives with budget.
The successful candidate will work directly with the HRC Theme Leads and their teams in support of research conducted. You will contribute to seeking new research opportunities including horizon scanning, initiating and managing interactions with commercial and non-commercial research partners including NHS Trusts, charities, funders and research institutions to identify, create and structure academic and industry collaborations. You will also develop and deliver high-profile training activities for our stakeholders. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will work with colleagues across the University and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to ensure strong coordination of the HRC research project portfolio.
Through your knowledge and experience of healthcare and/or academic research and research funder environments you will have an excellent understanding of the research and governance policies and processes which are relevant to the University and NHS . You will also have significant experience of costing projects and direct experience of having provided research support in a healthcare research environment would be advantageous.
