Full Job Description
Accountable for the Engineering Service Delivery pipeline and delivery of all Asset Replacement related programmes and projects within their assigned units Other duties Include:
- Planning, implementation, control, tracking, reporting, budgeting and delivery of all assigned programmes and projects within their units; including software and hardware systems, upgrade of legacy equipment and services, new process and procedure implementations, Futures and Opportunities planning, and feasibility studies all conducted within a highly regulated Airport environment
- Key safety accountabilities including actively promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Within their delegated authority, the negotiation and contract let of all suppliers' contracts associated with the Project(s)
- Leading the development of bids assigned to them, to cost & schedule, taking ownership for their subsequent delivery
Should hold a Project Management qualification (APM Certified Project Manager or equivalent) or equivalent experience and can competently demonstrate working knowledge of Project Management processes and methodologies - Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline. (Exceptional experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications)
- Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience in delivering IT and Engineering systems within a regulated environment
- Ability to demonstrate experience of delivering complex integration projects successfully within a complex stakeholder environment, experience of Air Traffic Management is desirable
- Ability to demonstrate successfully delivering engineering led projects and the management of complex test and acceptance deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal skills and judgement required for dealing with both internal and client relationships to develop strong working relations
- Good understanding of the commercial aspects of providing projects against fixed price contracts.
- The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively at all levels. Due to the size and complexity of the projects the jobholder is required to interface with many individuals that are at senior management levels and to communicate both verbally and in writing across all disciplines
- Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance, and personnel management techniques
