An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Midland Mental health team as an 8b Programme Manager to support the Delivery Function across the West Midlands. The successful candidate for this role will be highly organised, proactive and results driven and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment. The outcome is to improve the experience for people who utilise mental health services.
The Mental Health Team provide programme focused expertise to systems to ensure delivery of National Mental Health programmes and their associated ambitions, in particular the Long Term Plan for Mental Health. The development of positive working relationships with systems and other NHSE directorates and functions is key to the understanding of progress, challenges and risks.
This role is an essential and integral post within the regional team and will be covering a portfolio area across 6 ICBs in the West Midlands to support delivery of National ambitions and have Physical Health Checks for those with severe mental health needs as a subject matter area to lead on across the Midlands. This role will provide both direct subject expertise to systems and liaison to national programmes to enable the expected delivery in the portfolio areas., The Programme Manager will manage programmes of work concerned with the priorities set out in the Long Term Plan (LTP) and subsequent national strategies to improve mental health services. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in supporting thematic work across the region and lead and support improvement in complex pathways of care through expertise in:
+ Developing effective networking arrangements between experts in their thematic area.
+ Influencing and driving performance and delivery across system for delivery of the MH LTP and in their area of expertise.
+ Change management and improvement science.
+ Programme and project management.
Together with other members of the team, the post holder will ensure activities support ICB's and commissioners with their core purpose of improvement and ultimately benefit patient and population health outcomes.
The role will have a performance management function and will provide oversight of the assurance elements of the programme for 6 ICBs. This will include targeting a series of supportive interventions and escalated performance interventions. The post will have a Transformation function in taking responsibility for leading areas of the national transformation agenda., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
