Full Job Description

This post is a key senior member of the PMO at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The PMO is primarily focused on supporting and facilitating the successful and smooth delivery of the organisations efficiency programme.The postholder will be involved in every stage of the programme from the initial scoping exercise to agreeing the project resources to be deployed, including their roles and responsibilities, the launch of the scheme, governance arrangements and of course ensuring that it is delivered on time and to value. All of this to be consistent with and managed through the agreed PMO processes and procedures., The Programme Manager will oversee and manage the work of one or more project managers as required, supporting a strategic shift in services across EKHUFT. The postholder will bring significant expertise and discipline relating to how the schemes should be structured and delivered to ensure a successful outcome and ensure that the identified and agreed milestones are delivered or flagged to the PMO Director where there is likely to be significant deviation. The Programme Manager will support and work alongside the scheme executive / senior manager sponsor to ensure successful delivery.The postholder is responsible for contributing to the Trust's cost efficiency and savings plan. Specifically, they will be responsible for the review of financial performance of the change programme that is being managed; including the monitoring of expenditure, review of overspends and underspends, investigation of variances, and setting actions to ensure that the service is delivered within the budget.

Leadership:o Provide clear programme management support to the specific allocated programme(s), be a positive role model and actively promote the HB's vision, strategic aims and values.
