If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you., The Programme Officer will provide high-quality, comprehensive project management support to the Science and Laboratory workstream within the Genomics Unit., + Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks and projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively;
+ Support and inform the targeting of resources by providing high quality support including information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management;
+ Provide high-quality secretariat support to Working Groups and meetings as required, including agenda-setting, drafting correspondence, minute-taking and managing membership;
+ Design and deliver events such as meetings and workshops, working with colleagues and taking a lead on specific tasks;
+ Ensure milestone plans, risk and issue registers and other key programme management documents are relevant, up to date and aligned with corporate requirements;
+ Provide flexible and agile support for projects within the GU, working with colleagues to manage peaks of activity and to ensure that objectives are delivered;
+ Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordinate with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence, papers and reports
+ Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally., Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application

This role is suited to someone who has a pragmatic approach to managing deadlines and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment within a national NHS team.
