Full Job Description

The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) is a division of Velindre University NHS Trust (VUNHST) and provides specialist blood and transplantation services across Wales. Delivering quality, care and excellence to our patients and donors is at the heart of our organisation.

Advanced Therapies Wales (ATW), is a VUNHST hosted Programme based in WBS, to support the development of cell & gene advanced therapies. Wales is also part of the Midlands and Wales Advanced Therapies Treatment Centre (MWATTC) network, which is a network of treatment centres across the UK to support the delivery of cell and gene clinical trials. Both programmes are hosted by VUNHST. Under the direction of the ATW programme lead/MWATTC deputy director both programmes align on the delivery of shared objectives.

The Programme & Project Co-ordinator will play a crucial role supporting and providing high quality organisational, project administration to the Advanced Therapies Wales (ATW) Programme and MW-ATTC, Under the direction of the ATW / MWATTC Project Manager, the Programme & Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective co-ordination of a range of projects that support the work of the ATW Programme team. The post holder will support and provide day-to-day monitoring to facilitate the successful planning and delivery of work programmes across the ATW Programme and MW-ATTC.

Main duties of the job

To provide programme administration and project support to the ATW Programme.

To manage and maintain electronic filing systems.

Meeting organisation and diary management.

To undertake meeting minutes and transcribing.

The post holder may be required to undertake other duties which fall within the grade and overarching purpose of the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
