About Us:
The role will support the Strategic Delivery Programme for Shropshire Towns and Rural housing.
Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing (STAR Housing) is an Arm's Length Management Organisation (ALMO) established in 2013 as an independent company. Our main purpose is to manage Shropshire Council's retained stock of council homes and provide the financial management of the Council's Housing Revenue Account.

Role Overview:
In this key position and as part of the Corporate Services team you will support the programme and project delivery responsibilities for STAR Housing under the leadership and oversight of the Head of Corporate Services., To contribute to the delivery of the Strategy Delivery Programme and all of the projects that sit within it.
To support the project governance and colleagues to deliver projects effectively and in line with project plans.
To produce and maintain project documentation and reporting.
To co-ordinate, facilitate and contribute to both individual project teams and the wider programme board.
Communicate project and programme updates to both targeted and general audiences.
You will get an opportunity to expand your skill set throughout the programme having an opportunity to take leadership roles within the projects as they progress.
We are looking for an officer who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a proven track record of supporting and driving change in partnership with colleagues and other stakeholders.
You'll have an awareness of the latest thinking, developments and best practice in project management. You'll promote best practice and help colleagues to understand project governance and effective delivery.
Whilst experience of working in the social housing sector isn't essential, it would be a bonus.
You will have good problem solving skills and also have the ability to motivate colleagues and the wider business towards achieving shared goals., If you have excellent communication and presentation skills appropriate to a wide range of individuals and groups, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, then we want to hear from you!
Salary in line with NJC: PO (27 - 30) £35,745 - £38,223.
-28 days annual leave, rising to 33 days after 5 years' service, plus bank holidays.
