Full Job Description
North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.
You will be working within the Programme Management Team whose remit includes responsibility for policy and strategy development and programme management of external funding, including UK Shared Prosperity, Locality Health Partnership and Climate Change schemes. The team is also responsible for initiatives which reflect national, regional and local policy, customer and partner demands and opportunities for improving service delivery. This remit includes healthy and sustainable communities, financial inclusion and support to the Armed Forces Community. These initiatives may be directed either internally (across departments), externally (working with other agencies) and at events where the Council engages with local residents, groups and businesses.
The role will assist with a range of duties including producing reports, undertaking research, preparing funding applications, servicing working groups, identifying new funding and support opportunities preparing claims and arranging payment reimbursements and monitoring. It will also support the promotion of activities, updating web pages and engaging with a range of public stakeholders, departments and partner agencies to ensure successful delivery of internal and external programmes, meetings and events., The post is office based at District Council Offices, Mill Lane, Wingerworth with potential for hybrid working subject to operational requirements. The job will require a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as attendance at partner meetings across the County.
+ Developing and implementing effective administrative systems
+ IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and the Internet
+ Interpersonal skills, able to explain complex information in an accessible way
+ Able to devise, implement, monitor and evaluate administrative systems
+ Ability to engage with a range of businesses, organisations and local residents, patiently empathising with their needs in an approachable and flexible manner
