Programming and booking manager

We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible and creative individual to join our in-house promotions team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join one of the UK's flagship independent and established grassroots live venues, programming and delivering brilliant shows and experiences to our customers.

Duties will include:

Programming and promoting great shows that are perfect for the venue.

Programming of DJ led club nights either in-house or with external club night promoters.

Using digital marketing, social media platforms, updating the website and listings.

Commissioning and arranging distribution of artwork, print and digital media.

Managing data collection, ticket sales, box office and guest lists.

Providing senior management with up to date weekly reports of booking activity and venue performance

• Proven experience and success marketing and promoting live music events either by managing in-house programmes or as an independent promoter


• A good knowledge and understanding of the current local music scene, up and coming acts and respective audiences at both national and international level


• Be able to spot music and customer trends and react accordingly


• Adept in contract negotiation, advancing shows and dealing with agents, artists and external promoters


• The ability and awareness to recognise the right event for the venue - promoting it to the correct target audience and ensuring that the venue is busy


• Appreciation of the 24/7 nature of the business.
