Full Job Description
The role consists of facilitating the flow of patients throughout the unit, aiding safe effective discharges, transfers and assisting the nursing staff.
Liaising with the Multidisciplinary team (MDT) is vital within the role and effective communication with the discharge team, Doctors, AMU coordinator and relatives is essential. The post holder will be expected to attend ward meetings with the MDT throughout the shift to ensure that relevant information is given to all members of the MDT and current handover of the patients within the unit is given. The post holder will be required to perform venapuncture to enable discharge dependent bloods
