Full Job Description
To be responsible for student mentoring, monitoring and intervention as part of a the role of Progress Coach in Leisure Services. The area covers students studying in Hairdressing & Beauty, Sport, Hospitality . To support students' induction, performance, progress and progression. To be responsible for a caseload of students, and to work with them in 1;1 or in group to improve their attendance and approach to full time study. To check and monitor student attendance to support college key objectives within their caseload. To provide support to students and to set high standards for their behaviour and engagement with the college. Key communication with stake holders such as parents and guardians verbally and in written communication. Educated to a minimum of Level 3 with at least a Grade C in English at Level 2
- Safeguarding qualification at Level 2 or a willingness to work towards Experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with young people
- Experience of working in a student centred environment Skills, knowledge and abilities
- Ability to work with and motivate young people both individually and in groups
- Ability to contribute to the wider student experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
