Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Apprenticeships and Business Development team as a Progress and Retention Officer. This is an integral role in supporting the successful delivery of apprenticeships where you will ensure all apprentices have a timely progress review, provide intervention where apprentices are falling behind and work in partnership with employers to create action plans where necessary. Please note that this is a Part Time position working 15 hours per week. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead on putting key action plans in place for employers and or learners that are OOF or experiencing difficulties in meeting the requirements set out in their training agreement or career and development plans.
  • Works in partnership with business development and delivery teams to create clear and accurate communications to our employer partners.
  • Sustain a thorough understanding of the present and anticipated needs of live apprentices across multi disciplines in order to carry out meaningful progress reviews.
  • Understand career and development plans, action plans, progress reviews, progress updates and recruitment forecasts.
  • Develop and extend links with employers, individually and collectively
  • Feedback employers needs and direct opportunities whether through development and delivery or bespoke products
  • Provide regular accurate reports identifying progress of live apprentices within the caseload for both internal and external use.

  • GCSE in English and Maths Grade A- C, 9-4 or equivalent
  • Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an apprenticeship delivery role
  • Experience of working within an employer responsive environment
  • Proven track record of supporting apprentices 'at risk' or falling behind
  • Experience of completing progress reviews
