Full Job Description

We are looking for a new Progression Support Officer to join our Student Services team at ONCAMPUS Southampton. The Progression Support Officer will be responsible for all administrative aspects of student progression onto degree programmes with the partner university. Playing a key part in helping students progress into their university degree, the successful candidate will provide support to Students, and support and training to, Personal Tutors, Academic staff and external CEG Sales and Marketing teams on progression to the partner university. This may entail activities such as organising relevant partner visits, student counselling sessions, inspirational guest lectures and other motivational events. The Progression Support Officer will act as the main point of reference for any queries related to student progression and build strong relationships with relevant university staff to maximise quality learner progression. Monitoring, supporting and tracking students the Progression Officer will engage with the centre management team and academics to ensure timely interventions that support students' success.,

  • To report regularly to the Centre Management team on student progress. Monitoring, tracking and supporting students, to ensure timely academic interventions are in place that lead to successful student outcomes maximising progression of students to the partner university.
  • To assist in management of the Centre's targets for progression by ensuring accurate and timely preparation of internal reports and assisting students on completion and graduation.
  • Coordinate and assist the Centre in management and development of strong working relations and communication with the partner university promoting understanding of their programmes and pathways, student progression degree choices, student results, graduation, maintaining clear communication flows on the graduation, progression and transition processes at all times.
  • To maintain all progression statistics and HE data for quality assurance review procedures (QAA, UKVI) and provide accurate information to the partner university and CEG Marketing, Admissions, Finance
  • To be responsible for dealing with enquiries from external partners, namely educational agents and consultants on matters relating to partner progression, services and graduation

    Educated to at least degree level or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
  • Experience of working in an educational environment, preferably in an international student context is desirable
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Experience of providing customer support
  • Experience manipulating and presenting data
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident user of MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and an ability to pick up internal IT systems with training
  • Works well within a team
  • Is proactive with the ability to react positively to unexpected circumstances
