Full Job Description

To support students and in particular a young person with epilepsy (knowledge and practise of Buccal Midazolam is essential) training will be offered for this role. Manual handling, core care training skills.
To support our client with the development of core life skills training and progression.

To provide personal and physical care, if required, in line with risk assessments and with dignity and respect.

To assist in providing a safe and supportive environment

To promote and maintain a good standard of care practise within the day opportunities centres.

A love of crafts will be desirable and to assist with therapeutic activities for clients on a day to day basis would be an advantage.

To assist in the daily preparation of day opportunities centres ensuring the premises are ready to receive clients safely and in comfort.

To promote and maintain a good standard of care practises within the day opportunities centres.

To undertake any projects or duties commensurate with the nature and grade of the post as required.

Additional Responsibilities:
To adhere to all service standards, policies and procedures
To comply with data protection regulations, ensuring that information on clients remains confidential
To fully prepare for appraisal meetings
Full driving licence desirable.

    A full enhanced DBS will be required for this post, Bright Lives CIC this is an essential requirement for working with vulnerable adults and the information shown on these is used to ascertain suitability for a particular role.


  • NVQ Level 2 in Care or 2 years' experience in care, including personal care, and be willing to work towards this qualification
