Full Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced administrator who will provide essential support to our upcoming projects.,

  • Devising project plans for MCB projects and making necessary adjustments when issues and changes arise

  • Identifying areas to reduce project expenses and increase the project benefits and outcomes

  • Supporting the development of project-related marketing materials and media communications, including publicity, photos, videos, press releases etc.

  • Developing relationships with key new and existing project stakeholders, arranging meetings and identifying partnership opportunities

  • Identifying, drafting and submitting funding applications for new and existing projects

  • Producing project summary and evaluation reports for MCB projects

  • Taking minutes at project team meetings

  • Developing strategies for actively advocating and ensuring strong engagement and participation in MCB projects amongst British Muslim communities

  • Regularly communicating progress to senior management and key stakeholders

  • Carrying out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by your line manager

    Experience in an Administration role

  • Project Management and event management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi-task, think proactively and prioritise work

  • Role may involve heavy lifting such as manual handling of items (e.g. MCB merchandise, roller banners) to put back in external storage, A career in a non-profit organisation would be desirable

  • Understanding of key issues surrounding the various Muslim communities across the UK from a variety of traditions and ethnic backgrounds

  • Experience of budgeting and writing proposal/funding application

  • Experience of running advocacy campaigns

  • Experience with media or advocacy work

    You will be able to design a working pattern that suits you, your family, the needs of the job and the team, however you will need to consider that the majority of the staff remain based in London, and as a result, some travel into central London will be required in order to build and maintain those crucial relationships.
