Full Job Description

As a Project and Change Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that transform and enhance our services, making a tangible difference to both our staff and service users. By taking the lead in driving measurable improvements, you will ensure our services evolve to meet the changing needs of users while elevating overall service quality. Your leadership will ensure a seamless, user-centered experience that consistently supports and exceeds expectations.,

  • Project Management: Lead and deliver operational projects, service transitions, and transformations on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Accountability: Serve as the main point of contact for project sponsors, ensuring successful project advancement.
  • Coaching & Guidance: Provide support and training to local teams in project and change management best practices.
  • Methodology Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational project management methodologies and effective communication processes.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring proper escalation as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across functions, including executive teams and service users, to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project spend, benefits realization, and project progress against established milestones.
  • Standardization: Collaborate with other managers to uphold and enhance common project management standards.
  • Change Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to overcome resistance to change, facilitating successful project adoption.
  • Skill Development: Coach local leaders in change leadership and project management, enhancing their capabilities for future initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Conduct process mapping and lessons learned workshops to drive continuous improvement in service changes.
  • This role offers hybrid working between Remote and from our regional offices, with the requirement of occasional national and regional travel.,

    You will have a
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification
  • Substantial project management experience, including managing investment/critical/priority projects within in complex environments, including accountability for project managing project scoping/set up, definition/planning, delivery and closure
  • Direct management of projects requiring co-ordination and co-operation of multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Experience using a range of business analysis skills including process mapping.
  • Evidence of creating, evaluating, monitoring and improving systems and processes
  • Financial and resource management and reporting; including project budget management, forecasting and ROI analysis
  • Business case development and review skills/experience
  • Chairing or leading Project Board's, meetings or workshops
  • Proven experience in leading and embedding change
  • Excellent communication skills, written, and verbal with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of collegaues from different services and backgrounds.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to obtain clarity where there are ambiguous requirements and multiple decision makers
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Powerpoint (software skills) and Smartsheets
