Full Job Description

Reporting to the senior internal communications manager, this role will play a key role in supporting and shaping internal communications for the organisation, ensuring that our 2,500+ staff across a network of 21 sites in and around London and the United Arab Emirates understand the organisation's vision, their role within it and to support them to feel focused and valued., Main duties include:
+ A strategic understanding of the organisation and how internal communications can support key priorities
+ Leading on internal communications for key strategic projects, developing plans that fit with and complement other priorities/projects across Moorfields
+ Developing internal communications plans for a range of projects, initiatives and campaigns and help/oversee their implementation
+ Advising stakeholders and be a spokesperson for internal communications
+ Regularly measuring the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels and make recommendations to review and amend the communications strategy and tactics as appropriate
+ Ensuring staff, governors, colleagues at Moorfields Eye Charity, Friends of Moorfields and contractors are kept informed of organisational developments, issues and direction and have proven mechanisms for providing feedback to the trust's leadership
+ Supporting the management of internal communications channels, including the intranet, working with the chief executive and other members of the executive team on all staff emails/cascades, live events, and supporting the writing/editing of Moorfields news (the weekly staff e-bulletin); and drafting/editing key internal presentations
+ Providing communications advice on strategic projects, · Ensure our values of equity, excellence and kindness are at the heart of internal communications
· Support the delivery of the internal communications objectives set out in the trust's communications strategy, using traditional and digital channels to ensure that all staff, regardless of role, feel connected and that they have a voice
· Lead on internal communications for key strategic projects - such as EDI, EPR, and other key areas of work
· Be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior leaders
· Be able to translate our organisational strategy in a way that all staff resonate with and understand
· Support the delivery of the communications strategy
· Be a proactive self-starter, and be able to confidently own, develop, deliver, and report on communications plans
· Be a spokesperson for internal communications
· Ensure internal communications is represented on strategic project groups and boards that you're involved in, so the role of internal communications and the benefits it offers is widely understood
· Develop good working relationships across Moorfields and confidently advise on key internal communications projects
· Work effectively within a dynamic team, motivating others
· Ensure there is a professional, responsive, efficient and friendly service to members of staff contacting the team for internal communications support
· You will be encouraged and supported to improve your knowledge, skills and abilities to help you progress in your career
