Project / Contract Manager

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 42 hours per week (7.30-4.30 Mon - Thu, 7.30-4 Fri) plus out of hours call out

Days: Monday - Friday plus out of hours call out ( currently 1 week in 3 but expected to reduce over time)

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Responsible for overseeing project works, ensuring delivery in time and on budget whilst managing small team or trade staff including:
Site surveys, feasibility studies, estimates and design,
Develop and monitor plans including timescales, resources and budgets,
Planning and purchasing materials and sub-contractors,
Regular liaison with clients and stakeholders,
Participate in out of hours 24/7 reactive breakdown repair service,
Ensuring adherence to health and safety, legal compliance and quality standards.

Experience:

Must have previous project/ contract management experience within the electrical or mechanical engineering sectors with a minimum HNC qualification within a relevant field.
Experience of water utilities, industrial controls or telemetry and advantage.
Must have excellent organisation, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills skills, a good level of computer literacy and a full drivers licence.
Due to the call out requirement of this role, we are only able to consider candidates who are based on the Isle of Wight.

Salary: £50 - 60,000 per annum DOE plus £200 call out standby/wk and 1.25 per hour call out, Van, Fuel Card, Laptop and Phone .
