Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Project Controls Consultant to join us in either our flagship London office or at our fantastic new office in Manchester. The primary function of this role will be the management and delivery of Project and programme controls for clients, addressing actual budget and forecast costs in order to effectively capture the business and Project status. To support the business and project delivery in all aspect. This role will be part of the AECOM Integrated Programme Controls team and demonstrable experience of the delivery of PMO best practice in a consulting environment on infrastructure projects and programmes is a key requirement of the role. Specific to this opportunity is a need for the successful applicant to be comfortable working away from home on the South cost up to one night per week, or to be within commuting distance of both London and Brighton. Here's what you'll do:

  • Develop cost control functions for Energy projects and programs undertaken by AECOM;
  • Establish and implement detailed project controls plans and procedures in accordance with AECOM standards and client project requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and manage project progress reporting, including all financial and earned value reporting, in accordance with contract and business requirements.
  • Prepare project budgets and estimates.
  • Coordinate and compile input from team members and various weekly reports.
  • Establish and maintain baseline budgets and cost plans, communicating status on an ongoing basis to project teams, clients and other third parties.
  • Implement and monitor and administer change control requirements including changes to project scope, budgets, contracts and schedule.
  • Capture and monitor data to ensure accurate and reliable plans, cost, schedule, contract, pricing, and invoicing information are in place and accurately and promptly reported.
  • Develop and maintain planned and actual cost and commitment schedules (including "S" curves) and earned value.
  • Review, distribute and track invoices and progress payments for AECOM, its sub consultants and other third parties.
  • Communicate project control needs and objectives to AECOM line managers and other project personnel.
