Full Job Description

1. Lead, support and ensure collaborative working with members of the capital design team, estates teams, operations and any other stake holders to develop the Capital programme. 2. Coordinate the delivery of agreed programmes of planned work to an agreed timeline, but also having the commitment to react to urgent business risks, whilst taking appropriate action to address any slippage. 3. Support the Project Manager with all Programme Management & Commercial aspects commercial aspect of scheme delivery whereby projects are delivered within agreed target costs. In the event of additional or unforeseen work arising apply early warning protocol, reporting on compensation events as defined by the NEC suite of contracts and ensuring the Project Manager is aware of all issues. 4. Ensure all projects comply with the latest CDM Regulations. 5. Undertake Confined Space entry into potable water storage tanks and carry out inspections, recording key information for regulatory reporting. 6. Manage Capital Contractors to ensure compliance with DCWW processes 7. Liaise with project designer engineers during the delivery process providing key feedback on effectiveness of the design and any construction or operability issues. 8. Liaise with Operational colleagues to deliver reactive schemes when required. 9. Ensure DCWW comply with the Traffic Management Act and New Roads and Streetworks Act. 10. Ensure project procurement and approval processes are followed so there is zero non-compliant spend. 11. Provide accurate, timely contemporaneous records to Project Manager. 12. Ensure all project handover documentation and procedures are complete before issuing of final certificates. 13. Help identify best practise construction techniques for engineering, and notify any proactive behaviours or work under a 'near miss' reporting procedure. 14. Contribute to 'lessons learnt' analysis upon scheme completion in order to ensure that there is a continuous improvement process applied.Who you'll work with Internal

    Ideally hold a civil engineering background and educated to HNC level
  • Knowledge of the design and operation of water storage tanks - ideally a minimum 5 years
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering capital projects in the water industry
  • Knowledge and experience of NEC Contracts, in particular the role of site supervisor
  • Experience and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial experience and cost management
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy
  • The ability to work to tight regulatory and project deadlines
