Full Job Description
The Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance leads the local delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer to transform services and improve outcomes for patients.
As the Project Coordinator you will be part of the timely presentation programme within the alliance and our focus is on:
· More people coming forward with signs and symptoms of cancer
· More people taking up the offer of national screening programmes.
The Project Coordinator will provide project support and coordination to facilitate delivery of programme objectives in accordance with the aims and ambitions of the Cancer Alliance. The role will require excellent organisation and communication skills and close working with stakeholders including the voluntary sector, charities, marketing agencies, commissioners, patients and carers.
You will be working on a varied range of projects in areas such as smoking cessation, public facing campaigns, the strategic obesity project, community partnership project and innovative projects that will test new ways of working.
The post holder will work alongside colleagues at all levels including senior clinicians, Social Action leads, executives, project managers and teams across Cheshire and Merseyside. Most work is carried out virtually, however some travel across the regions for face to face work is required., Key work areas will include:
Programme support, co-ordination and day-to-day support of the Timely Presentation programme
Support to set up, plan and participate in project(s) including project steering groups, project assurance function, project teams, project documentation using the CA programme management documentation.
Maintain systems and processes to track the progress of the work streams, collating reports and identifying risks to delivery of agreed objectives and milestones.
Attend project operational groups in Cheshire and Merseyside either virtually or in person as required.
Act as the first point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring that effective communication occurs between all relevant parties.
Organise events, ensuring that necessary resources are available, and that expenses associated with the programme are tracked and remain within the programme budget.
Analyse simple datasets, identifying trends and reporting anomalies to the Project Lead.
Act as a key individual in the overall success of the programme.
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Cancer Alliance Timely Presentation team
Support Senior Project Managers / Project Managers.
