Full Job Description

Choices College (formerly Project Choice) is a supported internship programme that aims to support young adults with learning difficulties, disabilities or autism to become employment ready. You will work closely with the Area Manager in delivering the College's outcomes and maintaining an employment transition rate for students at above 75%. You will play a key role in ensuring the programme meets the needs of the students, employers and regulatory bodies. Please note this roles contractual base will be in Southampton but the role will be based in Basingstoke RG24 9GZ. Willingness to travel around the Hampshire area is essential., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible forsponsorship through the Skilled Worker routeyou'llusually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher. A passion for supporting students with SEN to meet their full potential is essential for this role. The post holder will hold a teaching qualification or have recent experience in supporting the education of students with SEN in the classroom and work placement. They will have the skills and experience to adapt working practices to suit the learning needs of individual students using Training in Systematic Instruction methodologies. The post holder will be a confident communicator with excellent motivating skills, you will also be highly organised and be extremely efficient in using MS Office packages.
