Full Job Description

The Project Electrician is responsible for executing all electrical installation tasks in alignment with CDM regulations, design specifications, method statements, risk assessments, and safe working practices. Electrical construction work must be performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality standards to pass inspection, testing, and commissioning. The role requires travel to various locations across the North of England.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems

  • Proven experience in the transportation/electrical construction industry
  • Ability to meet deadlines, achieve targets, and make sound decisions to ensure successful project completion
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity, orderliness, and commitment to quality
  • Understanding of method statements and risk assessments
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines
  • Capability to work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Experience with power construction projects in industrial, transportation, or nuclear environments
  • Extensive knowledge of CDM Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
  • Energetic and hardworking, capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in managing a small team on a daily basis
  • Willingness to work across the UK for short periods and availability for out-of-hours/weekend work to meet project demands
  • Proficient in using MS Word and Excel
  • Holds a full, clean driving licence, ECS Gold Card for Electricians
  • Completed a JIB-recognised UK Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent time-served experience
  • JIB-approved UK competency-based qualification (NVQ) or equivalent
  • Current ECS Health, Safety, and Environmental Assessment
  • BS7671:2018 qualification (18th Edition)
  • Level 3 2391 qualification (Testing and Inspection)
  • Certification under NAPIT - Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) and/or CPS, C&G 2921 parts 31, 32, and 33 - Design and installation of vehicle charging installations, or willingness to gain the qualification upon employment
  • EUSR Water and Hygiene Cards, or willingness to gain the qualification upon employment
  • DBS Checked, Minimum of 3 years' experience post-apprenticeship holding a Gold Card
