Full Job Description

As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system. Partner with the best We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented engineer who will coordinate all Non-conformance reports to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the identification, documentation, investigation, and resolution of non-conformance reports. This role is critical in ensuring that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, and in driving continuous improvement within the organization. As a Project Engineering Manufacturing Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Screening and reviewing Non-conformances related to the manufacturing of flexible pipe and ancillaries at FPS and vendors.
  • Filtering and re-directing NCRs and Technical queries for other departments.
  • Conducting NCR data analysis to establish trends and repetitive NCRs. Work with cross-functional teams to establish standard dispositions to make improvements to Product Quality Standard (PQS).
  • Communicating in an objective way with manufacturing departments and customers.
  • Supporting and training Engineers in NCM system, PQS, RCA and other problem solving techniques.
  • Reviewing quality issues from SQDC boards on behalf of engineering groups, establishing trends for common issues to work within the engineering organisation and into manufacturing & quality teams to establish actions.
  • Able to create a team, to lead and manage RCA projects and subsequent CAPA (corrective action, preventative action) improvements.
  • Inputting NCR data, RCA & CAPA information for concession reports of NCR to the customer.
  • Collaborating with Engineering Lean specialists, Manufacturing Quality Engineers and Operations team on investigations, CAPA and reporting.
  • Reporting to Engineering Leadership on Quality metrics from within the Engineering disciplines.
  • Leading change control reviews within a cross-functional team, assessing risks and assigning actions.

    Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Engineering/Technology).
  • Have a sound understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, relating to design and repair methods.
  • Have proven experience in quality (NCR) management and Customer Project Support.
  • Have sound oral and written communication skills.
  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have strong data interpretation & interrogation skills.
  • Can influence others and lead small teams, driving improvement initiatives.
  • Can co-ordinate several projects simultaneously.
