Full Job Description

At IAG Cargo we have a dedicated Transformation team, who are responsible for managing a portfolio of exciting projects aimed at making our business fit for the future. The portfolio spans a wide range of interesting areas from our operations to our infrastructure, to working with our customers and colleagues to ensure IAG Cargo is a great place to work and do business with. Your role within the team will be crucial to driving these projects forward.

What you'll do

  • Support senior colleagues with the planning and delivery of core transformational projects, in line with internal control and financial guidelines

  • Support delivery of projects against prescribed criteria and standards, proactively contributing to an environment where all aspects of delivery (i.e. progress/issues/risks /resources) are effectively managed

  • Assist in the proactive identification, documentation and management of risks, issues and dependencies at a project level, applying best practice tools and techniques

  • Support team colleagues with the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely status reports, and maintenance of other project documentation

  • Contribute towards effective resource planning at a project team, by understanding trade offs and helping to develop and track different resourcing options

  • Support effective communication to all project stakeholders

  • Facilitate effective project-level progress reporting against change targets and support in development of mitigation strategies

  • Support compliance with standardised IAG Cargo project management principles, techniques, methods and tools

    Previous project management and planning experience would be advantageous

  • Basic understanding of risk and issue management practices and some practical experience of applying these in a project context

  • Great people, stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience of working within, or alongside, a Programme Management Office (PMO), support effective governance, planning and progress reporting

  • Prior exposure to the end-to-end business case development process/guiding principles

  • Some financial background, including practical experience of applying to projects and budgets; comfort when working with numbers

  • Appreciation of the value of effective knowledge management and a willingness to support at a project level

  • Prior exposure to working with external suppliers and involvement in procurement processes

  • Great team working skills, a postiive attitude and a readiness to develop these skills on real-life projects Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail

  • Experience from the aviation and/or logistics sectors would be a bonus but is not essential

  • Understands core MS Office functionality and is able to apply and develop these skills to support day-to-day project delivery requirements

  • Understanding of business change and, ideally, experience of working on a team that was delivering a key business change
