Job Summary: Kiwa UK is looking for a Financial Accountant on a 6 Month fixed term contract to provide crucial project support in statutory accounts and taxation matters. The successful candidate will ensure a faultless level of governance in all activities. This role has the option to work remotely or be based in our Aylesbury or Cheltenham offices. About the role:

Taxation
Complete a series of one-off projects to enhance our efficiency and compliance in reporting various taxation matters, including:

  • lntercompany loans and withholding taxes

  • lntercompany group relief and accounting

  • Group Payment Arrangement compliance, including appropriate payments on account and recovery of legacy balances

  • Support with international corporate taxes in Ireland, UAE, India and Turkey

  • International VAT recovery (Ireland & Norway in particular)


  • Accounting

    Complete a series of one-off projects to enhance our efficiency and compliance in various accounting matters:
  • Build an accounts preparation model to in-source our annual financial statement preparation processes

  • Technical review of accounting approaches for defined benefit pensions, goodwill and equity positions


  • Projects and growth
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the wider Finance Team on the year-end close and annual audit cycle.

  • Support the Group FC with banking and treasury projects

    A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA etc.)

  • A technical powerhouse, able to work independently with appropriate internal and external support interfaces, with solid knowledge of the UK tax framework, FRS102, FRS101 and IFRS

  • Recent experience of working in a UK Corporate in a similar role, or qualified professional coming from Practice

  • The ability to plan strategically and balance commerciality

  • Relevant experience of IFRS reporting requirements

  • The ability to deliver to tight timescales and deadlines consistently

  • Excellent day to day planning and organisational skills

  • Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and teamwork, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results oriented

  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels

  • The ability to engage and influence colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives
