Are you a logistics professional looking to make an impact? We're seeking a Project Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic Logistics team in Goole. In this role, you will be responsible for the seamless coordination of operational procurement and supply chain activities to ensure optimal material availability for our production line. You will make an impact by:

  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain to resolve issues and blocking points, all with the focus of ensuring on time in full delivery of materials.
  • Monitoring and managing the materials supply chain by interrogating data to identify risks to the production flow of the factory, mitigating and / or escalating as required.
  • Being the first escalation level for the Purchasing team in the event of issues relating to order fulfilment.
  • Working alongside the wider logistics and procurement teams, maintaining an awareness of external impacts and production demand concerns, working to help find solutions to the benefit of all.

    Understanding of cross border procurement activities at the operational level, with an awareness of wider issues and impacts on the materials supply chain that could prevent on-time in-full deliveries.
  • Adept at problem-solving and able to work through complex supply chain topics with exceptional communication skills.
  • Expert Excel user, comfortable producing and analysing large amounts of data.
  • It would also be beneficial to have:
  • MRP / ERP systems (SAP highly preferable)
  • Relevant supply chain qualification (APICS / CIPS)
  • Working within a supply chain team as part of a wider manufacturing process

    Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues in our Manufacturing Facility.
