Full Job Description
Supporting the Interface Management and Construction teams within Asset Protection and Optimisation (ASRO) to safely and seamlessly integrate externally funded projects into the railway environment, whilst minimising impacts on railway operations and operational infrastructure. To provide guidance to the external client team to support adherence to relevant Network Rail and rail industry standards and processes.About the role (External) Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities: 1. Working as part of the Project Interface Management team to develop and deliver solutions for externally funded key projects and schemes of; high value, politically sensitive and multi-disciplinary projects, and where mandated assure delivery in accordance with PACE lifecycle. Supporting the seamless integration of all project risks affecting the operational railway. 2. Engaging with Stakeholders to enable compliance with Network Rail governance and assurance processes and support the Interface and Construction Managers with facilitating compliance against the Railways Act and Network Licence and oversee completion of deliverables. 3. Work with the Interface Managers and Construction teams to interrogate the client remit and programme to provide clarity of operational railway interface requirements. 4. Monitor and report programme and progress in accordance with project reporting systems and guidelines. 5. Support Network Rail interface of externally funded projects with the production of Basic Asset Protection Agreements (BAPAs) to assure commercial governance follows Network Rail processes and procedures. Comply with the Investment Competence Framework. 6. Build effective relationships with Customers, assist the Technical Interface Specialist with scheme allocation and new scheme entry into ASPRO customer database ACE' and assist in communicating progress against defined milestones and managing expectations where necessary. 7. Support the Asset Protection team in providing a safe working environment at all times during the execution of those interfacing projects under their responsibility.
· Some management experience including project management. · Educated to HND/HNC or similar standard. · HSQE awareness, issues and principles. We would also like but it isn't crucial to have/to be: · Membership (or working towards membership of) the Association for Project Management. · A degree or equivalent. · Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, commercial and financial aspects. · Understanding of possession planning., Safe behaviour is a requirement of working for Network Rail.
