Full Job Description

The Project Management Department at Nissan R&D plays a critical role in ensuring the successful development and delivery of electric vehicles (EVs) and combustion vehicle alike. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented student to join our team as part of an Industrial Placement program. This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside industry experts, contributing to the development of cutting-edge EVs that are shaping the future of transportation. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience in project management within the EV/ICE development lifecycle, working alongside experienced professionals.
  • Develop strong analytical and communication skills by actively participating in project data analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, gaining exposure to industry-standard project management tools and methodologies.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the R&D department and its interaction with other areas of the business.

Join us and be part of the electrification revolution! Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Support project managers in monitoring project progress and adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) including Quality, Cost, and Timing (QCT).
  • Conduct data analysis to track project KPIs and identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the preparation of progress reports and presentations for senior management, effectively communicating project status and recommendations.
  • Assist in coordinating communication and information flow between project team members, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
  • Gain exposure to various project management tools and methodologies, with the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives.

    A highly motivated and results-oriented student studying a degree in a relevant field, namely technical, engineering or design.
  • Sufficient evidence of your right to work in the UK will be required.

    Based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, NTCE (Nissan Technical Centre, Europe) is our UK Research and Development hub. We are home to the functions that help us lead the way in vehicle design and development of the vehicles manufactured in our European plants.   • Competitive base salary at £21,587
  • Remote Working Policy (maximum 2 days per week WFH)

  • + 39 hours per week + Standard Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1:20pm + 2+/- flexible hour adjustments (Subject to manager approval)
