Full Job Description

  • Deliver our current generation of products on-quality, on-time, on cost (OQOTOC);

  • Reshape the business to enable the products to be more competitive, using subcontracting and also lean approaches;

  • Deliver the next generation of products to support the rapidly evolving market with the major focus on Cost per Bit.


  • What you will be doing:

    The activities you may undertake during the placement year will vary between:
  • Work together in the project management office (PMO) with PMO manager assisting with project activities;

  • Report general day to day support activities;

  • Coordinate with all necessary teams and third parties to ensure the projects tasks are moving forward;

  • Highlight timely issues to the Head of Industrial Product Delivery so that governance is followed for all projects;

  • Once you will gain confidence in the Industrial Product Delivery project management processes and tools you will also support PMs in the day to day activities.

    Studying towards a degree that includes modules like Project Management, and Electronics (hardware and software);

  • Able to demonstrate Leadership and management skills.

  • Keen to learn new things., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

    You will join the Airbus Digital Payload Delivery department and in specific the Industrial Delivery group which is responsible for the development and implementation of communication products (either digital processors or radio frequency RF).


  • You will be part of the Project Management team (Product Industrial Delivery TSEDD5) which is responsible for the telecoms satellites equipment deliveries by leading multifunctional project teams through the various project phases to achieve project objectives (time, scope, cost, quality) to the satisfaction of the customer.

    Digital Payload Product Industrial Delivery Group is based in Stevenage and Portsmouth in the UK and Ottobrunn Germany.

    Within Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) Systems, the main aim of Digital Payload Industrial Delivery is to develop and manufacture products that are strategically important for Telecommunication Systems (TST) satellite payloads.
