Full Job Description

The CAA are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Portfolio Delivery (PD) department. PD is responsible for the scoping, planning, governance, and delivery of cross departmental projects and programmes. Projects can cover everything from continuous improvement initiatives to companywide system integrations and will often touch on some of the hottest topics in aviation today. PD is best described as a fast paced, forward-thinking department with a wide variety of exciting programmes to get involved with.

As a Project Manager your main responsibility will be to ensure that your projects are optimally planned, governed, and delivered in line with their respective Quality, Cost and Delivery targets. These projects will often require you to embed yourself into different areas of the business and work in matrix style teams. When working with other areas you should seek to continuously improve relationships, develop your understanding of their challenges, and consult with each to seek out solutions. To this end, you will need to be comfortable driving, influencing, challenging, and negotiating with partners at all levels of business.

  • An experienced Project or Programme Management professional with a proven track record of delivering cross projects in a transactional environment

  • Possess a formal project management qualification of some variety, including but not limited to; PRINCE2, APM, MSP, PMP, P3O etc

  • An excellent communicator, influencer and negotiator who can demonstrate engagement and influencing at all levels of business

  • Ideally experienced in the delivery of IT based projects in an agile work environment

  • Additional technical knowledge of subject matter areas like procurement, IT or continuous improvement would be advantageous
