Full Job Description

As a key member of our contract engineering team, you will manage both the technical and commercial aspects of diverse projects across a broad range of products and systems. From the moment an order is received, you will become the main point of contact for the customer. Your role will involve reviewing job specifications, designing tailored solutions, and coordinating the entire project build and test process with the customer., Project Initiation: Assess feasibility, define budgets, and allocate teams and resources effectively.

Customer Solutions: Deliver efficient, high-quality solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

Project Management: Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Development department to address specific design requirements and with the Production department to manage system builds.

Team Leadership: Lead meetings with Site Services to brief commissioning engineers and keep all project teams aligned and motivated.

Multi-Project Handling: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Continuous Improvement: Track project progress, implement necessary changes, and report regularly to both management and clients. Upon project completion, evaluate outcomes to refine processes for future projects.

Execution Planning: Coordinate and plan the execution of all project work.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in managing commercial projects.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to review and negotiate contract terms.

  • Expertise in project planning, including goal setting, role definition, and timeline creation using Microsoft Project.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage resources and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide project teams.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities to manage client expectations.

  • Initiative and analytical thinking for informed decision-making under pressure.

  • Proficient in written communication for creating manuals, test schedules, and quality procedures.

  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.


  • Preferred:
  • Hands-on experience with electronics design and testing.

  • Experience with audio electronics equipment.

  • A minimum qualification of HNC level in electronics engineering.
