Full Job Description

At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager supporting the Submarine Delivery Enterprise at our Babcock Technology Centre site., As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working with a new established team collaboratively supporting the Industry partners within the group.

Day-to-day, you will be identifying and delivering joint activities collectively to improve and optimise performance of the Submarine Delivery Enterprise:

  • Collaborative monitoring and reporting within three major project areas (supply chain, engineering quality standards and submarine through life data).

  • Provide project management best practice within the Submarine Delivery Enterprise by supporting the production of programme artefacts including programme plans, benefits management, resource profiles, risk registers, stakeholder maps, communication plans and project integrated schedules across projects in supply, engineering quality and submarine through life data.

  • Enterprise enabled and facilitated analysis to support near and long-term decision making.

  • Assurance and coherence of Enterprise integrated schedule data.


  • This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

  • Basic knowledge of submarine systems and processes.

  • Experience in project or programme management.

  • Ability to work across a diverse joint team interfacing at all levels within any organisation and stakeholder.

  • Strong IT skills


  • Qualifications for the Project Manager:
  • A recognised degree level qualification and/or relevant engineering/supply chain/lean culture experience.

  • Membership of a relevant professional body & with or working towards a professional qualification e.g. IEng, CEng, ChPP.
